Fat Freddy’s Catering has been feeding great events throughout Arizona since 1993. The business began as a simple way for the father and son team of Fred and Eric Renstrom, to share comfort food for family and friends. Over the last 30+ years the business has blossomed into Arizona’s premier full service and drop off buffet catering powerhouse.

A Legacy of Culinary Excellence & Family Spirit

In September of 2024, we sadly lost our founder, Freddy Renstrom—the man whose passion for food, family, and hospitality built the foundation for everything Fat Freddy’s stands for today.

Freddy’s spirit, recipes, and values live on through his son Eric Renstrom and grandson Carson Renstrom, who proudly carry forward his vision: serving meals that bring people together with warmth, flavor, and genuine care.

At Fat Freddy’s, family has always been at the heart of what we do—and that hasn’t changed. Our commitment to quality, service, and community remains as strong as the day Freddy first fired up the stove.

We still cook with home-style cooking methods but expanded our menu selection to include a variety of flavorful offerings – from Italian and Caribbean options to Chinese specialties and traditional BBQ.
