Over the last 25 years we have just about seen everything. We have the experience and knowledge to handle everything from a full service wedding with plated salads, entrees, and desserts to a corporate event of 4 buffets getting 400 employees food in their hands in 15 minutes. Fat Freddy’s Catering now owns and operates out of an 11,000 square foot facility consisting of 8,500 square feet of kitchen space and 2,500 square feet of administration space. Our fleet of delivery vehicles and the number of employees has also expanded. While the size of our company has grown and changed over the years, some things will never change. Our commitment to prepare and deliver great tasting catering, deliver high quality service and to employ the best catering professionals we can find.
We have a special room that is dedicated to our visiting guests. We have photos of our food and buffet presentations all over the walls, samples of dinner china, glassware & flatware, linen samples in a rainbow of colors and whenever possible we greet our guests with a sampling of food based on their menu selections and theme. Freddy started by out by making home style comfort food that leaves you feeling full and satisfied at a reasonable price. Over the years that hasn’t changed but we have added more sophisticated menu options and our chef and catering staff take great pride in their presentation and levels of service. Our specialties include Italian, Carribbean, Chinese, and Barbecue.
Established in 1993 by Freddy Renstrom and his son Eric Renstrom, Fat Freddy’s Catering in Phoenix started out by providing catering services for only friends and family and for one local resort chain; The Pointe (Hilton) Resort at Squaw Peak – Destination Services. As word started to spread about our great tasting food and professional catering services, the business moved from Freddy’s home kitchen into a commercial grade kitchen capable of producing food in greater quantity.
Business steadily grew over the next several years. We established a solid reputation for catering quality small to mid-size family events like weddings, graduations, anniversary parties, themed birthday celebrations and special events of all kinds. Soon our customers began taking us to work; trusting us to coordinate and successfully cater large company picnics, grand openings, holiday parties and business meetings. This type of catering demands a high degree of organization, follow-thru and professional service. Great tasting food is a given with Fat Freddy’s. We delivered in meeting these demands and today our corporate clients represent a high percentage of our overall business.
